About Us
Overview
Our non - profit association serves community members by teaching a variety of free classes pertaining to college and financial literacy that will help them with their decision making skills in these areas. Many of our topics are included online that enables community members to do their research from home.

Goals
- Establish 15 “Prepping for College” Community Volunteer Student Groups who will participate with the CAI “Prepping for College” curriculum in each targeted Central Indiana public high school community. Purpose is to help student's regain their Hope, Enthusiasm and Self Worth. Building a strong student resume is necessary before high school graduation.
- Establish Community Volunteer Student Groups - in each targeted public high school community.– Qualified Vetted students will assume Leadership roles in overseeing and providing supplemental educational curriculum.
- “Early Bird” Transition to STEM Programs - Include female students beginning with Grade K2 - K8 students. A participating STEM Business License can be applied for and reserved by parents/grand parents of children in Grades K2-K8. Applications for a reserved space are now being accepted.
- CAI is an approved organization for implementing the national Girls Who Code Program.
- Student Eligibility – CAI accepts pre-qualified high school students from any public high school class up to December 31 of their senior year. – Initial preference is for CAI to recruit high school freshmen who desire a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) career
- Purchase Business Licenses From College Funding Solutions – CAI to submit minimum orders for 10 CFS licenses per month.
- Establish 10 Marion County Volunteer Student Groups (2 per Year) by 2024....... Projecting 150 Student Volunteers
- Solicit funding for a Community Learning Center in Indianapolis – Preliminary research notes a need to raise $12,000 for first years rent, Space will be used by students after school. The center will provide a place to hold community presentations to train participating students
- Achieve a 65% STEM college graduation rate by 2028 – Work with staff at I-STEM – Purdue University to insert programs that will help to improve college graduation rates.
- Appoint five (5) students to a Student Governing Board of Directors. Will manage and oversee all established Central Indiana Groups

- Access to “Prep Me” website – Tips & strategies to improve GPA and SAT scores
- Student Activity Report (SAR) – Response to FAFSA submittal - Reviewed for correctness

Community Chapter
Our ethical principles are the values that set the ground rules for all that we do as
community volunteers. As we seek to achieve responsible success, we will be
challenged to balance these principles, always mindful of our promise to achieve
responsible success.
Our Ethical Principles Are:
HONESTY : WE will not say things that are false. We will never deliberately
mislead. We will be as candid as possible, openly and freely sharing information
as appropriate to the relationship.
PROMISE KEEPING: We will go to great lengths to keep our commitments. We
will not make promises that can't be kept and we will not make promises on behalf
of Carel Associates unless we have the authority to do so.
FAIRNESS: We will create and follow a process and achieve outxcomes that a
reasonable person would call just, evenhanded, and non-arbitrary.
RESPECT FOR OTHERS: We will be open and direct in our communications
and receptive to influence. We will honor and value the abilities and contributions
